Does Peyton Make The Broncos Super Bowl Contenders?
The internet, as unbelievable as it may be, is divided on the issue of Peyton Manning. Some people believe that he won’t be able to repeat Tebow’s magic from last season and lead the Donkeys into the playoffs while others believe he makes them an automatic Super Bowl contender. Let’s not forget one thing… he’s Peyton fucking Manning. If he’s healthy then he makes any team an immediate playoff contender. But is he healthy? That’s the question.
Personally, as a Chargers fan I would have loved Tim Tebow to remain the signal-caller for the Broncos. I think Peyton Manning is far more dangerous behind center. And now that his little brother has won more rings than he has? Shit. As if Peyton needed any added motivation. Peyton honed his laser precision passing by stuffing Eli’s shirt with pillows and turning him into a human dart board. Now that human dart board has more rings than him? Not to mention that talking heads that have crowned Eli the better quarterback in the Manning family while Peyton could do nothing but sit on the sidelines.
Peyton is one of the few players that doesn’t need any motivation to perform at the highest level. Now that his motivation tank is full who knows whatmight happen. For all the hype about how well Tebow played last year, Peyton Manning is leaps and bounds ahead of the Christian missionary. Peyton Manning should have been the first legitimate MVP candidate that didn’t play. I mean, who proved that they were more valuable to their team than Peyton? The Colts were a playoff team the YEAR BEFORE Peyton’s injury. Without the star QB, they went 2 AND 14!!! And that’s in a pretty damn weak division.
As a Peyton fan, I hope the guy can come back better than ever and throw up a giant middle finger at the Colts organization. But as a Chargers fan.. well I hope he’s no Tim Tebow.
