Walking Dead Season 2 Finale
:It's The Walking Dead and more of it, despite a revolving door of key behind-the-scenes personnel the show continues to shine.
:The only negative is the wait for next season.
First let me say, holy fucking shit! Then let me apologize. I know this article is about as timely as announcing who won the X-Games last year. I don’t really know who won but I’ll go out on a limb and say it was probably Shaun White. Anyway, I didn’t get a chance to watch [...]
First let me say, holy fucking shit! Then let me apologize. I know this article is about as timely as announcing who won the X-Games last year. I don’t really know who won but I’ll go out on a limb and say it was probably Shaun White. Anyway, I didn’t get a chance to watch the finale the night it came out but now that I got a chance to catch up I couldn’t NOT talk about it.
As I’ve pointed out before, I’m a huge Walking Dead fan. Will was trying to get me to watch it for months before I finally caved and checked it out on Netflix. I’m not gonna lie, the series does have its slow moments but that’s only because the show is much deeper than just a bunch of humans running for their lives from hordes and hordes of zombies. After the mid-season premiere this season it took one of those slower turns. You could tell some interesting things were being setup but not a whole lot was happening on the getting-eaten-by-zombies front.
All those complaints were answered in a very big way towards the end of the season. The show continued to explore the very realistic themes of humanity and how we would act if a real zombie apocalypse were to occur. Tragedy sometimes brings out the best in people but it can also turn us into complete monsters which the show does a great job of exploring.
Onto the finale itself – let me repeat my previous sentiments… HOLY FUCKING SHIT! The season ended on such a strong note that I’m sure every type of fan was appeased. From the gratuitous violence to the world-changing events that will change the group forever, the finale left you wanting more. I was worried they’d pull one of those fuck you cliffhangers that you have to wait a year to find out what happens but thankfully they didn’t. They just ended the show on such a note that you can imagine so many different possibilities happening and I can’t WAIT to see what happens in season 3.
Again, the great thing is, if you haven’t jumped on the bandwagon now it’s NOT TOO LATE! You could easily crush the first two seasons by the time season 3 rolls around.
What do you think? Are you a fan of the show? Are you pissed off about the finale or did you enjoy it as much as I did? Let us know what y’all think in these comments yo!
